I am a tired girl.  Today maya pulled all six hundred feet of
floss out of the package, stuck her toothbrush in the VCR, spilled a
glass of milk on my recliner, wrote on the couch, climbed in to the
bathroom sink and turned on the water and cried exactly seventy
million times.

BUT!  My beloved came home from work early, bearing both chocolate
and a flower, and is making that lovely scrumptious chicken for dinner
again.  I am feeling better.

I love my family.

Let it be known that Wednesday, motivated by his love for his exhausted wife, my beloved Timothy Randall made supper .   It was scrumptious!  Times ten.

Henceforth, he is going to be preparing dinner one time a week.  I’m quite excited.

So, it occured to me last night as I was reading that there was a big
chunk of my young life where I just accepted that there were hundreds
of years of history where no one got in to heaven.  Perfectly
logical, right?  Because the church of Christ (as it were) wasn’t
founded until the early 1800s.  So pretty much anyone who lived
between the time shortly after Jesus died, and 1800, was pretty
much…ahem…out of luck.  Because everyone knows that only
members of the church of Christ go to heaven.  I know that no one
ever came out and told me that, but it was a conclusion that wasn’t
hard to come to, given the church atmosphere I grew up in.

I don’t really have any thing insightful to say beyond that, except to
praise God that I finally got close enough to people belonging  to
other denominations to discover that their faith was equally as valid
as mine.  And we need to be careful that we don’t define the Body
of Christ where Christ himself does not.
