Cloth Diapers:
Couple reasons. Cause I think cloth might be funner to wear
than plastic/paper pants. Because in the end, it’s cheaper.

Oh man. I love Saturdays. This one especially. Today it
rained all day, and stormed some. Lovely, plus, Tim got up with
the girl and let me stay in bed until NINE THIRTY.
Ahhhhhhhhh. (Also, during this time, he changed THE very nastiest
diaper I have ever seen/smelled in my 14 months of
mothering). This afternoon, Maya and I took a nap
together during a storm. And tonight, I made peanut butter rice
crispie treats with butterscotch and chocolate on top.
Yummmm. And Nick Howell called. Three times. As I
type, Maya’s new cloth diapers are in the washer. I am oh so
excited about them, as well. (I can feel y’alls impending
excitement about cloth diapers…) Tomorrow is Sunday, which
means bowling, and church. And probably another nappy nap.
So. Yesterday was an adventure. I have a couple of puke
stories, but I think I’ll spare you. Suffice it to say it is not
fun being sick when: a) there is no one home to take care of you, and
b) there is a 14 month old who needs you. BUT, then my husband
(who is the best husband EVER) came home. He brought me soup, a
lemon, some coke, and some reeses peanutbutter cups (for when I got
better). Then, he gave me a massage (I was so stinking sore) and
drew me a hot bath, and made me some soup. And I felt MUCH
better. Then, I went to bed. 15 minutes later, Maya
puked. It was the saddest thing ever. However,
whatever it is that we had seems to have spared her for the most
part–she seems fine today. Yay for that. Anyway. Big
fat eprops for my husband.
Y’all. Today I am very aware of how rediculously blessed I
am. My sweet baby is running around in her diaper talking to
inanimate objects, and playing with a piece of string, and my beloved
is off to work (in a button up shirt, no less) doing lots of
smart-person things. Yesterday he picked me a red flower.
And showed me a rainbow. No person in the universe is luckier
than I.
