“When someone steals a man’s clothes we call him a thief. Should we not
give the same name to one who could clothe the naked and does not? The
bread in your cupboard belongs to the hungry man; the coat hanging
unused in your closet belongs to the man who needs it; the shoes
rotting in your closet belong to the man who has no shoes; the money
which you hoard up belongs to the poor.”
– St. Basil (the Great),
Bishop of Caesarea, AD 370

yes!!!!! xanga is a go. thanks for this reminder. i have had similar thoughts in the past few days, but this says it so much more concisely. i am in a grammar class this semester that i think you would like. well, you would like the teacher anyhow. that’s a beautiful girl you got there.
ps. no e-props will be given at any time because i loathe the name, which just happens to be the reason i wasn’t a member of xanga in the first place. inconsequential, though.

Good thoughts Rachel (even if they’re borrowed). I’ll give you props (I’m a little confused about billipo’s reluctance, is it the “Papaya Universe” name or is it the term “e-props”?).

I’m sure it’s eprops. Who could take umbrage with the name Papaya Universe? And why would that make him be a non-member of xanga as a whole?

Woo, you get an eprop for the word “umbrage.” And that’s one I’m trying to use at least three times (well, at least twice legitimately and one just thrown in all willy-nilly). Way to improve our vocabularies.
And way to post about things that matter.

If I could give more props I would. Umbrage is a good word.
