Sisters…

I have a sister and I really like her.  I think Maya will like hers too.

Argh. Some people get on my last nerve.

Gentleness, kindness, patience, etc, are fruits of the Holy Spirit, not the fruits of a child rearing method.  I cannot, as I am not the Holy Spirit, produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit in my children. Heck, I can’t even produce them in myself.  Neither can you.

Some Wordsworth

Just a smidgen.  From one of my favorite poems.  I would like to put it on a birth announcement, maybe.

Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:

The sould that rises with us, our life’s Star,

    Hath had elsewhere it’s setting,

        And cometh from afar:

     Not in entire forgetfulness,

    And not in utter nakedness,

But trailing clouds of glory do we come

From God, who is our home:

Heaven lies about us in our infancy.

I miss my last color layout–the robins egg blueish green one.
But I’m too lazy to figure out how to change it back.  Bah.

All is well in Louisiana.   The weather has been so
beautiful, and we got outside a few nights ago, and took a nice
lesiurely walk.  It was wonderful.  We had some friends over
Saturday night, so Tim and I spent all day Saturday cleaning our
house.  It has been sorely neglected these last six weeks or
so.  Tim, bless him, did most of the work while I folded and
switched out laundry, and put a simple dinner in the crock pot.
It is very nice to have a clean house again.  I just hope I can at
least maintain a reasonable level of clean for the next week.
Friday, we’re leaving for Searcy.  I am excited. Tim will return
home Monday, and  Maya and I are spending the week there.
Melinda (my mother in law) is bringing us back to Baton Rouge the
following weekend.

Yesterday, we went to some other friend’s house for Easter lunch.
Here is a picture of Maya in her Easter dress (that her Nana made) with
her Mommy.  (And Lentil, but you can’t really see him.)

Anyhow, as of May 1, the Wylie family will be well insured, and on the
4th, I get to go to my Dr. and the three of us (well, and the dr.) will
get to see Lentil bouncing around.  Maybe he’ll wave.  I’m
very excited.
